Luxexpo is located in the heart of Kirchberg district, the most modern one of Luxembourg City, but also the one which has undergone profound transfomations. Located at only a few kilometers from the city centre, its population and its real estate density, as well as its infrastructure have strongly developped during the last 30 years. The Urbanisation and Development Fund of the Plateau of Kirchberg (Fonds d'Urbanisation et d'Aminagement du Plateau de Kirchberg) aims at integrating the Plateau of Kirchberg into an urban pattern at a human dimension in order to transform it into a real district of the capital.
