The Korean Institute of Electrical and Electronic Material Engineers was founded on Oct. 31, 1987, and doctor Bong-Heup Kim of Hanyang University inaugurated as the 1st President. This institute acquired corporation establishment permit on Jan. 8, 1990 in order to contribute toward development and propagation of science and technology regarding electrical?electronic materials, and also make contribution toward scientic technical promotion and national industrial development and to perform business related with these and this institute has existed so far. Major business contents of this institute are scientific presentation business such as domestic & overseas and international scientific presentation, scientific lecture meeting, special field technical seminar and workshop holding etc, international exchange business such as foreign distinguished scientific engineer invitation and international scientific conference and conference induction and participation in overseas institute etc, investigation and research business such as scientific research service business requested by overseas and investigating and researching technical educational industrial field etc, technical information data exchange business such as exchange with overseas institute, international organization, international group, university, research institute and other related group etc and exchange of technical information with domestic institute, each group, company, research institute, college etc, other business such as publication of books and technical information magazine and promotion of installation of research institute etc, therefore, this institute is now performing various kinds of business corresponding to establishment purpose of this institute. Councilor meeting consisting of councilors of this institute shall select president group(1 president, 1 next term president, 13 vice president) and officer, and board of directors including president group as scientific organization shall hard major institute's matters such as science, business etc, and has 8 director groups and 13 committees under board of directors, and committee per special field is consisted 10 research meeting per special field.
