The Equestrian Stadium is located to the south-west of the Olympic Stadium. Built in 1934, the stadium integrated the remaining trees of the former Grunewald Race Track. Its idyllic location makes the equestrian stadium one of the most beautiful race tracks in Europe. The jumping garden wall and the long water trench harmonize with the surrounding nature as do the 1,200 seat roof-covered tribune and the neighboring stalls. Two dressage areas and two riding halls complete the grounds. Riders and modern pentathlon athletes from the Berlin State Athletic Center also train here. The Stadium was also the site of the 2007 Pentathlon World Cup as well as several regional events and tournaments.
