The Katowice International Fair Ground is located in Silesian Central Park, Katowice, Poland. It is one of the most popular and largest International Fair Grounds in Poland. A few dozen events are organized in the Katowice International Fair Ground every year, wherein approximately 4,500 companies participate every year. Established in 1963, the Katowice International Fair Limitedwas first opened as the Centre of Technical Progress. In the initial years the activities of the Centre were mostly non-commercial but after the 1989 transition in the economy, the Fair Ground started extensive commercial activities. The Fair Ground has one of the rare exhibition centre which has its own state-of-the-art exhibition base along with wide open areas for display for products, located on the outskirts of the scenic Park of Culture and Recreation.
