The American first Day Cover Society or the AFDCS in short is a not for profit organization which has as its members the volunteers who are dedicated to serve the interests of the First Day Cover Collectors, cachet makers and dealers. Established in the year 1955, the AFDCS is an organization having many first day cover collectors as their members who also design their own first day covers. The AFDCS is a philatelic organization which also hosts an auction where a variety of first day covers, stamps and journals are exhibited for sale. They also publish many magazines which are of utmost value to the cover collectors and stamp enthusiasts as the magazines are a great storehouse of news and information. Captained by the President Mr. Chris L. Lazaroff, they are the proud organizers of AMERICOVER, a national annual convention.
