The Royal Air Force or the RAF traces back its origins to the year 1918. It is proud to announce itself as the oldest independent air force in the whole world. The RAF is the most important part of the British Military. Since its inception it has been taking part in historic battles like the World War 2 and Cold War. Their mission is to support the aims of the British Ministry of Defence. They are constantly trying to work for the security of UK and other countries as well against terrorism and other threats. They are ambassadors of international peace and safety. Though it is under the Ministry but still it is headed by Air Chief Marshall Mr. Stephen Dalton. They are also the proud organizers of the Royal Air Force Cosford Airshow.
