Organizer Profile:
Russell Publishing Ltd – incorporated in 1992 by its dynamic founder, Ian Russell – has remained fiercely independent from day one, when the company started life in the heart of the City of London’s financial district.
We produce a wide-range of magazines, websites, events & conferences for the Rail, Transport, Pharmaceutical, Food Manufacturing, Airport, Sustainable Energy & FX-MM sectors.
Russell Publishing’s first publication was FX-MM, servicing the fast moving foreign exchange and money markets space, as it does to this day. In 1994, the expanding workforce embarked on the production of European Railway Review, the first of a series of successful launches into the B2B sector. Setting an eye-catching standard with the impressive speed of a young, energetic team, the railway title soon established itself at the forefront of the European-wide mass transport market’s magazines of choice. Thereafter, European Pharmaceutical Review was launched in 1996, when again, responding to the needs of greater office space, RPL moved to London’s West End from where International Airport Review (1997) and New Food (1998) came into being. By this time – with an enhanced in-house production and editorial capability – the company was also able to fulfil an increasing series of yearbooks, directories, conference literature and a variety of one-off, bespoke publishing projects.
In 2002, Russell Publishing celebrated its tenth anniversary in style; leaving the hustle of the city behind, the company – by now comprising over forty-five permanent staff – relocated to a beautiful barn conversion in the idyllic village setting of Brasted on the Kent/Surrey border. This marked the next stage in Russell Publishing’s history, where adding to the fore-mentioned stable of market-leading magazines – all of which remain at the cutting edge of their respective industries – Eurotransport (2003) and International Sustainable Energy Review (2007) were launched to a degree of acclaim equal to their stable-mates.
Russell Publishing continues to innovate and grow; its conference arm, having started in earnest in 2005, has now expanded beyond the Kent site to a satellite office in Cambridge, delivering fifteen events during 2009.
