Export Development Board Sri Lanka, also abbreviated as SLEDB and EDB, is one of the most widely recognized organizations in Sri Lanka that came into being in the year 1979 under the Sri Lanka Export Development Act and is being operated under the aegis of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Headquartered in Colombo, this organization is currently being administered by its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Janaka Ratnayake.
